Vanessa has dedicated her practice to the rights of the workers injured in the BP Oil Spill.
EDUCATION & HONORS
Vanessa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Ashford University in Iowa in 2011 and her Juris Doctorate degree from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2013. While earning her law degree, Vanessa served as Editor of Law Review, Justice for the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Chair for Alumni Professional Development, Ambassador for the Student Bar Association and Cuban American Student Bar Association.
Prior to opening her sole practice, Vanessa was the Managing Director and Senior Class Action Litigation Attorney for a Miami firm representing more than 5700 clients in a class action lawsuit against BP for the oil spill that took place in 2010 where more than 170,000 clean-up workers were injured.
Vanessa managed and supervised over twenty (20) employees in the Class Action Department and communicated directly with the Claims Administrator handling all appeals.
Prior to becoming an attorney Vanessa worked in marketing and underwriting files for foreclosures handling loan modifications, short sales, deed in lieu of foreclosures, HARP, and repayment plans.
Early in her career, Vanessa served as a United States Naval Information System Technician Petty Officer Third Class. Vanessa gained valuable experience in the handling of security material and transmitting and receiving satellite messages and being responsible for all secure radio communication. Vanessa continues to maintain her Security Clearance.

Vanessa is a child advocate volunteering over 500 hours per year of pro bono legal services as Guardian Ad Litem and Attorney Ad Litem for minors needing legal representation, including custody battles, divorces, human trafficking victims and/or dependency issues. Greta Gonzalez was born in Habana, Cuba and is fluent in English and Spanish. She attended Florida International University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude prior to receiving a prestigious scholarship to attend Nova South Eastern University and received her J.D.
Since becoming a member of the Florida Bar Mrs. Gonzalez has been practicing Civil Litigation and handle a wide variety of cases from inception to successful settlements in excess of six figures for her clients.
Greta is fluent in both English and Spanish.
